placino is a data clean room for regulated enterprises. We let multiple parties run federated SQL and ML across each other's data — without moving the underlying data. Each party's data stays in their environment; only privacy-preserving query results cross the boundary, gated by differential privacy, k-anonymity thresholds, and per-query policy enforcement.
The platform deploys where customers' data already sits — AWS, Azure, GCP, on-prem, air-gapped. Kubernetes-native. Terraform-managed. Infrastructure-as-code from day one.
We are 11–50 people, headquartered in Dubai (IFZA Business Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis), serving regulated enterprises across finance, health, telco, and AdTech.
The role
Every enterprise data clean room deal runs through three conversations: the data team buys the federated query, the security team buys the audit trail, the legal team buys the zero-data-movement architecture. You will lead all three.
This is a customer-facing technical role — pre-sales solutions architecture for enterprise deals across the GCC and EMEA. You sit on every opportunity.
What you will work on
- Lead technical discovery on enterprise opportunities — CDO, CISO, DPO, Head of Data audience — translating placino's mechanism into the customer's architecture and procurement reality.
- Run POCs: deploy placino in the customer's preferred environment (AWS / Azure / GCP / on-prem / air-gap), demonstrate federated query end-to-end, show the audit trail.
- Co-author RFP responses, security questionnaires (SIG, CAIQ), SOC 2 / ISO 27001 evidence packages, and DPA red-line negotiations.
- Architect federated topologies for multi-party deals — cross-bank fraud detection, federated clinical analysis, supply-chain risk scoring, ad measurement post-cookie.
- Quantify business value: TCO models, ROI calculators, breach-cost avoidance math, and the always-tricky "what would this have cost in fines or remediation".
- Liaise with engineering on customer-driven feature requests — close the feedback loop without becoming a feature factory.
You are a fit if
- 5+ years in pre-sales / solutions architecture for enterprise data infrastructure or security tooling.
- Comfortable in front of CDO / CISO / DPO levels — can hold technical depth and business framing simultaneously, in the same hour.
- Strong with at least two of: data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), Kubernetes, MPC / DP primitives, identity / IAM patterns at scale.
- Have authored RFPs and SIG / CAIQ responses end-to-end. You know the difference between an answer that passes legal and an answer that passes the customer's security team.
- MEDDPICC or equivalent qualification framework — instinctive, not just trained on a slide.
Bonus
- Background in regulated industries (finance, health, telco, AdTech).
- Familiar with privacy regulations beyond GDPR — HIPAA, CCPA, PIPL, DORA, NIS2.
- Public speaking experience — conferences, webinars, customer advisory boards.
- Multi-language: Arabic, French, German, Turkish — the GCC + EMEA buyer base is wide.
- Prior data clean room, federated learning, or PETs vendor experience — direct or adjacent.
